VW T25 High Top Campervan Autohomes Komet in Southampton, Hampshire for sale

1984 1.9 Water Cooled VW T25 High Top Campervan For sale is our much loved T25 High top. She is an Autohomes ‘Komet’ 4 berth with pumped water storage, and on board waste, 12v / mains lighting and power with Zig unit and leisure battery. 2 ring hob and grill. Rock and roll bed and space for two kids in roof or additional storage. There is a TV set up in the front overhead locker (ariel required). 3 way fridge and gas locker. 2 Lap belts in rear seats. Front speakers and radio stereo. The seats were completely re upholstered shortly before we bought her and the interior is very tidy and comfortable. The front passenger seat is on a swivel plate and there are two tables with poles for interior use. Externally the body work is pretty good with some rust in the usual places for a T25 of this age. Underneath she looks sound She is reliable and has been used daily most days. The mileage on the clock is 23387 but I have no idea what the actual genuine mileage is – but looking at it the engine looks like the original. We have never broken down and have carried out the following work – complete exhaust system, rear brake back plates, rear drums and shoes, main handbrake cable, both upper wishbone bushes, new roll bar and link arm bushes, pulley end oil seal, new clutch master cylinder, and new blower motor and associated resistors. Included in the sale is a dated but useable drive away awning (from the 80’s judging by the colours and design!), mains cable, waterproof bag for the rear roof rack area, 2 door storage nets that we decided not to fit, Haynes manual, and set of four alloy wheels and tyres (see pictures). I also have a full cover for the van. There are also some other small bits and bobs which I will look out. I am selling as work arrangements have changed and I need to sometimes commute a bit further so have gone for a newer diesel model. I am going to miss the friendly waves to the other T25 nutters! All in all she is ready to go and ready for some new adventures Inspection and test drives welcome – But I will insist on seeing a valid insurance certificate for third party cover.
